Cablecam for Your Living Room
Steve Garfield and I were talking about shooting video of everyday home living. I want to have a high-quality camera ready that I don't have to hold or carry, for when the kids start doing something momentshowing-worthy. Then I saw this article in the New York Times. Steve could use something like this for The Carol and Steve Show, his Real Reality TV show.
CableCam International makes and installs these things for NFL games, Hollywood Movies, etc. Their website has more photos and videos. (warning: their site is a little flash-heavy.) I sent them an e-mail asking for one for my living room. Let's see what they say...

There is no possible way your wife would let your have a video cam in your living room. Unless, of course *you* made sure the house was always cleaned to your wife's standards what would be acceptable for the world to see...
